"Every hour there was an ah-ha moment. Almost on every stroke there was something ‘ah-ha’ about it. Going back to what I was envisioning I was doing versus what I was actually doing, was an ah-ha moment for me.
Instruction from Ian is much more in-depth from start to finish. Even though it might take a half a second to complete a forehand, there are several pieces to it that can go in error. And the instructing pro back home can’t quite capture everything going on in a half a second. But Ian can with the help of the camera. So when you see the split second motion of each frame of what’s actually happening, Ian is able to work through with you on how to perfect those motions biomechanically. And you don’t get that at home.
If you’re really serious about improving your game, this is an invaluable experience.

"I just think that you need a diagnostic the way this is - and it’s very concentrated. I mean, you may have a diagnosis over time, slowly - your forehand, your backhand, your serve, your volley - but it would take years. But here, in a concentrated, very organized systematic, tried and true way - these 4 pros help you see strengths, weaknesses, what to work on.
I would tell others that they must do it. I mean it’s almost like, you must do it. Because if you don’t do it, you could just go to 100 tennis camps and even many many lessons - just that hour a week is not going to do it.

"This is triple the value you pay..."
"After watching all the videos and seeing the transformations made, to me, it was a no-brainer. I wanted to progress my tennis and I felt like this was the fastest and best way to do it.
I’ve gotten to see strokes in ways I’ve never seen them before and to me, everything was explained in a simple, easy to understand way - you’re given the how and the way. So to me it made it easy to learn and easy to progress.
To me, corrections here are like months worth of lessons and clinics. Of which, you’d probably spend $70/hour and you do that 1-2 times a week, then you have $120 clinics, so easily probably worth 10-12 grand on what I spent learning tennis as a kid growing up.
The speed is unmatched as far as the progress, at least in my personal opinion….and the idea of having an action plan afterward to follow on your own…..It’s well worth it, it’s triple the value you pay.
Great value, great tennis, and I would do it again after I go home and correct my errors."

"I believe that a new set of doors have been opened for me to walk through and to continue development. It wasn’t a case of coming over and saying ‘well here’s the answer’. It was a case of coming over here and identifying where those doors were and showing me how to go through them if I choose to follow the training and the development and the training of those opportunities.
Yes, it is worth coming across the world for. That’s from my perspective, for sure. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be doing it, would I? From my perspective, I’ve been given a new set of tools that I can go away and use and I can go away and develop. I don’t see the same opportunity in Australia. And that's truthful. And having a one hour session with your local club pro - it would take you a year to even get close to what you can achieve in a short period of time while you are here. So, return on investment is high."

"This was full immersion..."
"Most other instructional tennis is an hour at a time and it’s good enough to the ball back and get a good sweat. I don’t mean to trivialize the hourly lesson, there is real value in that, but there's not a lot you can do on any one thing beyond tinkering. This was full immersion.
There’s a lot that goes into getting a ball over the net. What’s clear to me is that I’m only aware of a small fraction, if that, at any given time. Let alone being able to sort of break it down into little tiny steps. And one of the things that out of working with you guys is not only full focus on that but an expert eyes view on where I could, where I needed help basically. Whether or not it was tweaking or full fledged breaking down and redeveloping, just taking it step by step by step is a real professional attribute to the Essential Tennis group.

"This type of experience, I keep calling it an immersion because it absolutely is. You surround yourself with amazing energy, all of the coaches here, all of you guys are just so fun and happy and encouraging. So having two solid days, many hours and just having that immersion into this experience really causes change very very very fast.
I think that everything I learned in two days, would have taken me a couple of years to learn back at home if I did clinics and hour lessons here and there. I really think the two days here is absolutely worth a year or two at home.
